J. Robert Smyjunas - Chief Executive Officer
Rob Smyjunas has been in the commercial real estate business since 1987. He has enjoyed an extremely successful real estate career with commercial office, retail, industrial and mixed use developments in seven (7) states valued at a total of more than $700 million dollars.
Early in his career, Rob was at the center of the last U.S. financial crisis in the late 1980's and early 1990's, when the United States was in the midst of the Savings & Loan (S&L and Banking) crisis. During this period, commercial real estate values fell more than 40%. He provided advisory services to both lenders and to the Federal Government and he also purchased commercial mortgages and foreclosed properties from banks, savings and loans and the Federal Government-managed Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC).
Jeffrey T. Holtmeier - Chairman
Jeffrey T. Holtmeier is a founder of Koncept, a Chinese-based digital media platform developer and provider to Chinese educational market. Through a Joint Venture with Chinese government-owned CERNET, Koncept delivers Advertising Supported Digital Content and Communications services to more than 25 million users throughout China.
Jeff was also founder and CEO of a regional voice and data systems integrator based in Cincinnati Ohio, with offices in Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Louisville and Lexington, that designed and maintained voice and data systems for more than 5,000 small- to mid-sized businesses. He operated the company for 18 years before selling it to publicly-held Teligent in 2001.
Jeff founder and served as CEO for Q.SyS International, Inc., a venture capital-funded developer of client server call center software distributed through all major PBX manufacturers in North America, Europe and Japan. Q.Sys was awarded a U.S. Patent in 1995 and was operated simultaneously with InfiNET.
Steven N. Dragon, P.E. - Vice President
Prior to joining Vandercar Holdings in 2005, Steve Dragon spent eleven years as an Associate and Senior Project Manager in the land development group of regional engineering and architectural consulting firm CDS Associates, Inc. Steve brings more than seventeen years of experience to Vandercar Holdings specializing in planning, design and permitting of large real estate development projects. During his career, Steve has worked on well over 300 residential, office, retail and industrial developments. He is a registered Professional Engineer with a degree in civil engineering from Purdue University and holds an MBA from Xavier University.
Carey Rivard - Operations Manager
Carey Rivard brings over a decade of management experience to Vandercar Holdings. As Operations Manager, Carey is in charge of all the day-to-day responsibilities of the firm including: Broker/Vendor relations, Web/E-Marketing responsibilities, Information management (internal external) and general management of the firm's operations.
